(Skaneateles, NY – Feb. 21, 2013) State Police in Elbridge are investigating a two car fatal accident that occurred at 5:42 p.m. Feb. 21 at the intersection of State Route 321 and Mottville Road in the Town of Skaneateles.
A 2006 Hyundai SUV, driven by Linda B. Snider, 69, from Jordan Road, Skaneateles was westbound on Mottville Road when she failed to yield right of way at the stop sign, entering the intersection with State Route 321 and was struck by a 2001 Ford SUV, driven by Brittany C. Barrigar, 22, from Austin Road, Elbridge.
Both operators were transported to Upstate University Hospital by ambulance. Mrs. Snider died as a result of her injuries at the hospital. Barriger was treated and released.
The investigation is continuing.
