(Herkimer, NY – March 6, 2013) Herkimer County Community College’s women’s bowling team participated in the 2013 NJCAA  Bowling National Championships at Erie Community College.

Sophomores Sarah Foley of Rome and defending National Champion Sara Edenhofer of Hilton teamed up and defeated  Erie CC  with an impressive score of 1,117 pins over four games to Erie CC’s 1,076 pins.

Foley won the Singles competition with 566 over Gabby Damin, Erie CC’s 562.

Foley was crowned All-Events National Champion, earning her Tournament MVP, National Player of the Year and 1st Team All-American. Coach PJ Anadio said “Foley, a transfer student, was a great bowler when she arrived, but to see her take the next step and become a great teammate, student and person has been awesome. I’m proud of the entire team.”
