(Watertown, NY- March 2013) Cornell Cooperative Extension Association of Jefferson County will soon publish a 2013 Local Food Guide for Jefferson County.

The guide will list farmers’ markets, farm stands, business, and wineries that offer local grown products. To be eligible for a free listing in the guide, farmers must sell their own homegrown food directly to the public at a market or home-based business in the county. Locally owned businesses must buy directly from farmers in the local area and have this be a significant piece of their sales.

The deadline for sending in information on your business and products is May 1, 2013. To receive an application or more information, please contact Megan Miller at Cornell Cooperative Extension of Jefferson County at lgv6@cornell.edu or by calling 315-788-8450 ext. 254.
