Selections “Ragtime” and more on this spring’s program
(Cazenovia, NY – April 2013) The Cazenovia College Chorale will present its Annual spring concert on Wednesday, April 24, 7:30 p.m., in the Catherine Cummings Theatre at Cazenovia College. The event is free and open to the public.
Among the pieces to be performed are selections from the musical “Ragtime;” an African piece, “O Sifuni Mungo;” and several other choral pieces, including “How Can I Keep from Singing;” and a beautiful arrangement of “Let There Be Peace on Earth.” The College Singers will sing the Beatles song, “If I Fell.” In addition, the Cazenovia String Ensemble will perform.
The Cazenovia College Chorale is directed by Bruce Campbell, former director of the Fayetteville-Manlius High School music program, and accompanied by pianist Bill Verity, recently retired from teaching music in the Central Square, N.Y., school system. The Cazenovia College Chorale is made up of College students and employees, and members of the community, who love to sing. The Chorale rehearses on Monday evenings at the Catherine Cummings Theatre at Cazenovia College, 16 Lincklaen St., in Cazenovia. New members will be welcome when rehearsals resume in the fall.
