(Leonardsville, NY – May 2013) Professional comedians are taking the stage at the Leonardsville Fire Hall on Saturday June 8 to bring dollars to the non-profit organization that serves their local communities. Comedy Central NY is producing the “5 Alarm Comedy Show” as a salute to the firefighters who put their lives on the line.
The benefit show starts at 7:30 p.m. and features L.A. Comedian, Will Phillips, award-winning headline comedian, Mike Bova, and host, Rich Parham. Parham and Bova both performed for Pretty Funny People, which boasts some the largest comedy shows in Upstate New York. Bova won the 2012 Upper State Independent Award for “Best Comedian.”
“We salute the firefighters for the work they do,” Bova said. “I am constantly in awe by the selflessness that firefighters have shown in serving their local communities, and this is just a small way we can say ’thank you’ for all they’ve done.”
The Fire Department will receive 100 percent of all tickets sales, plus proceeds from a 50-50 raffle held the night of the event. Tickets to the show are just $12 in advance and $15 at the door.
Door open at 6:30 p.m. The Leonardsville Fire Hall is located at 11306 Mill St., Leonardsville.
