(Oneida County, NY – May 30, 2013) Cornell Cooperative Extension of Oneida County is pleased to announce the awarding of a $500 scholarship to graduating senior, Abagail Pilbeam daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Pilbeam of Stittville.

This award is made possible through the Mary Planow, Shirley Nessle, Bruce Field, Eric Kresse, Alberta Schallenberg, and Melissa Vaill Scholarship Fund.  The program is designed to promote the 4-H Youth Development Program mission; to enable youth to develop the knowledge, skills, abilities, attitudes and behaviors to be competent, caring adults.  Applicants are invited to interview based on applications submitted to Cornell Cooperative Extension.

Criteria for this scholarship include; that the applicant be a graduating senior, have been actively involved in Oneida County 4-H for a period of at least three consecutive years and be accepted into a two or four year college, trade, technical or business school.
