(Remsen, NY – June 11, 2013) State Police in Remsen are investigating a shooting that occurred shortly after 4 p.m. June 11 inside a residence, located at 9220 Trestle Road in the Town of Forestport.
The Investigation has revealed that Larry W. Utter, age 49, called the Oneida County 911 center to report a shooting inside his residence. When officers and EMS entered the residence, they located 45 year-old, Stacey L. Utter deceased from an apparent gunshot wound.
Larry Utter is being held for questioning regarding his involvement in the death.
State Police were assisted at the scene by the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office and the New York State Forest Rangers.
The Investigation is continuing.
