Benefits Smithfield Volunteer Fire Department

(Peterboro, NY – July 2013) The Smithfield Volunteer Fire Department will host the annual Peterboro Hometown Day on Sunday July 28 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with a Chicken BBQ from “noon ’til gone.” Chicken dinners are $8.50 and halves are $6.

Children’s games, the bounce house and dunk booth, as well as crafters and food, will be available throughout the day. The Gerrit Smith Estate National Historic Landmark, the Peterboro Mercantile and the National Abolition Hall of Fame and Museum will be open for the day with free admission.

Noon: Chicken BBQ    $8.50 for dinners    $6 for halves
1 p.m.:  Crystal Kay Dancers
2 to 4 p.m.:  Peterboro Area Museum Open
2 p.m.:   NAHOF: The Abolitionists Part II
6:45 p.m.:  Peterboro United Methodist Church Pie and Ice Cream
7 p.m.:   Canastota Community Band Concert
