Commander’s Corner

(Clark Mills, NY – July 2013) As many of you know, the Post was flooded on June 28. This time the creek came over the road in front of the Post and came over the berm on the west side. The water came up to the top of the front steps and the basement was completely flooded. Twice in less than two years we have had a major loss.
On July 9 the Executive board met and, it was decided to move every piece of equipment possible upstairs into the liquor room, Commanders room and, the top floor.
From June 28 to our reopening on July 9, three people were here every day: Dick Wagner, Jack Sheppard and Brian Thomas.
Dick Wagner and Mark Roach kept a vigil on the pumps and generator 24/7. Many thanks for their dedication.
The following people were also here one or multiple days helping us out.
