(Oneida County, NY – July 2013) The Farmers’ Museum Junior Livestock Show in Cooperstown was home to 4-H youth from nine counties July 7-9, 2013.  Counties represented at this 4-H dairy, beef, sheep, swine, and dairy goat show are Delaware, Chenango, Oneida, Madison, Fulton, Montgomery, Otsego, Herkimer, and Schoharie.

Oneida County had 45 youth participate in this 4-H dairy and livestock show.  Some of the highlights included Supreme Champion Dairy shown by Hailey Paddock, Remsen; Supreme Champion Beef shown by Megan Cranwell, Eaton; and Supreme Champion Swine shown by Megan Cranwell, Eaton.  Winner of the Farmers’ Museum Junior Livestock Show Good Sportsmanship Award, an award voted on by peers, leaders, and judges, was Kristi Gallagher, Sangerfield.

Several Oneida County 4-H youth were class winners and showmanship winners throughout the two day show.  Be sure to watch these same exhibitors plus even more at the Oneida County Boonville Fair July 22-28, 2013.
