Cole(Syracuse, NY – July 2013) Nancy “Camille” Cole, author of The Brass Bell will visit Hazard Branch Library on Tuesday, Aug. 6 at 6 p.m.

Ms. Cole tells the true story of her great aunt Marion Parsons who started Cherry Road School in a cherry orchard henhouse in Westvale, then a farm community, in the 1920s.  She Cole will discuss her book and autographcopies.

Light refreshments will be served.

A retired educator, Nancy “Camille” Cole lives in Portland, Ore.where she writes fiction and non-fiction. She is the author of two books for teachers, Videoconferencing for K-12 Classrooms and Connecting Students to S.T.E.M. Careers. Her work has also been published in education and literary journals, and city magazines.

Cole was inspired by her Great Aunt Marion Parsons to write The Brass Bell, the story of her beloved great aunt’s life and the history of Cherry Road School and the Solvay-Geddes area.  She grew up in Westvale and Marcellus.
