(July 2013) In an effort to provide assistance to those directly impacted by the recent flooding in both Oneida and Herkimer County, Center for Family Life and Recovery, Inc. (CFLR, Inc.) has joined forces with Herkimer – Oneida Organizations Assisting in Disasters (HOOAD) to aid our Communities’ in their emotional recovery.
- CFLR, Inc. will be offering a free community workshop for those directly impacted by the recent flooding in both Herkimer and Oneida County – including first responders, volunteers, the general public, etc. – on Monday, Aug. 5 at the Herkimer Office (249 South Main Street) beginning at 5:30P.M.
- Members of CFLR, Inc.’s staff will lead and moderate a discussion on stress management & how best to help our communities heal from this devastation. On-site resources will be made available, including the opportunity for a one-on-one discussion with a member of CFLR, Inc.’s Professional Clinical Services staff. - CFLR, Inc.’s Professional Clinical Services staff will be providing a free one hour in-person or telephonic counseling session, over the next two weeks, to anyone affected by the flooding. To schedule an appointment, individuals must call CFLR, Inc. directly at (315) 733 – 1726 during business hours, Monday through Friday from 8:30A.M. – 4:00P.M. (i.e., by appointment only). In-person counseling sessions will be offered at the agency’s offices in Utica, Rome and Herkimer;
