(Utica, NY – Aug. 1, 2013) St. Elizabeth Medical Center and its Medical Group announce that Anila Khaliq, M.D. has joined the Medical Staff and faculty practice at the Family Medicine Residency Program, 120 Hobart St., Utica.
Dr. Khaliq received her Medical Degree from Fatima Jinnah Medical College in Lahore, Pakistan. She completed her Residency at the SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn and was previously employed by the Alice Hyde Medical Center in Malone, NY. Dr. Khaliq is certified in both Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, and is Board Certified in Family Medicine.
Her responsibilities at the Family Medicine Residency Program include: Being a family physician role model for the family medicine residents, mentoring of family medicine residents and medical students, providing primary care for patients at the Sister Rose Vincent Family Medicine Center and teaching on the inpatient Family Medicine Service. Her interests include women’s health and child and adolescent mental health.
Dr. Khaliq’s hobbies include painting glass and fabric, traveling and learning languages. She currently speaks English, Urdu, Hindi Punjabi and Bengali.
