Madison Cortland ARC news
(Wampsville, NY – Aug. 2013) ArcStock Music Festival will be held Saturday, Aug. 10 beginning at noon, at the Wampsville Firemen’s Field, N. Court Street, Wampsville. This year’s event will feature music performed by SAMMY Award Winner Los Blancos, followed by Central NY favorite The Billionaires, and ending the show will be Joe Whiting.
Whiting is a legendary musician that has played with bands Elf, and Savoy Brown, to name a few. Joe Whiting and the Bandit Band toured with Van Halen for 7 weeks on their “Diver Down” tour in 1982! Whiting has played with rock’n’ roll pioneer Bobby Comstock and has played at venues that included Madison Square Garden, The Spectrum in Philly, The Boston Garden.
“What a lineup we have!” said Wayne Horning, Special Project Director for ArcStock, “it will be a day filled with great music and everyone will be supporting a great cause!”
Proceeds from ArcStock will benefit the Building Futures Foundation at Madison Cortland ARC. Building Futures Foundation provides support to under-funded programs that help people with intellectual and other developmental disabilities at Madison Cortland ARC.
