(Chittenango, NY – Aug. 2013) Andrew Lloyd Webber’s (Cats, Phantom) Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is the Biblical story of a young man whose brothers are jealous of their father’s favoritism toward him and the beautiful coat he receives as a gift. They sell him into slavery in Egypt, telling their father he has been murdered, but he ultimately becomes important to the Pharaoh through his ability to interpret dreams.
The cast includes Nick MacLane (Joseph), Sean Carpenter & Kayla Haynes (Narrators), Maegan Welch (Ruben), Karleigh Stevens (Simeon), Alex Paige (Levi), Camen Hunn (Nepthali), Tyler Sternberg (Issachar), Rose Thresh (Asher),Libby Welch (Dan), Max Smith (Zebulan), Patrick Clobridge (Gad), Emma Kubecka (Judah), Benny Welch (Benjamin), Michael Quirk (Pharaoh),Dan Hanggi (Jacob), as well as the ensemble: Emma Baily, Emily Dwyer, Cassandra Fraser, Hannah Galster, Thea Gamboa, Brittanne Handzel, Sarah Lanning, Grace Nicholas, Jenny Spade and MacKenzie Stevens.
The curtain will open at Chittenango High School on Aug. 9 and 10 at 7 p.m.. Tickets are only $5 for General Admission and can be purchased at the door. This event is sponsored by the Village of Chittenango.
