To the Editor:
(Clinton, NY – Aug. 2013) On Saturday, July 20 over 100 came out to Clinton Fish & Game to support the Revolutionary Trails Council’s Shooting Sports Program. The event netted nearly $6,000 for youth involved in the Boy Scouts Shooting Sports program taught at each of the Revolutionary Trails Council’s camps to facilitate the proper education and respectful use of rifles, shotguns and archery equipment in age-appropriate manners.
The Council would like to thank everyone who participated and helped to make our annual tournament a success once again this year. In particular, we would like to thank to our major sponsors: “Herb” Philipson’s, Carbone Auto Group, Meyda Lighting, New York Sash; as well as those who sponsored the Scouts who shot in the tournament: Rome Strip Steel, Parkway Drugs, A.M.P. Radiation Oncology and John Martin.
We have a great group of leaders and residents here in the Mohawk Valley and the Revolutionary Trails Council appreciates the ongoing support it receives from the community. Your generosity helps to make a difference in the lives of our youth.
