(Hamilton, NY- Aug. 2013) The Palace Theater is poised for another season of live comedy, drama, musicals and dance.
“What a great line-up! Some shows are new, some are returning favorites, and some are original world premieres,” said Patricia von Mechow, Artistic Director of The Palace Theater. “Archedream for Humankind is back, due to popular demand, to showcase a new performance, Chorus Of Dreams, with their signature exotic dancing and unique black-lit costumes. And we are truly stoked that our stage is the place for two world premieres-supporting emerging play wrights and actors!”
This year’s line-up features the Native American music of international performer, Joanne Shenandoah (9/28); a world premiere of One October Midnight(10/18-19), a co-production between The Palace Theater and Auburn Public Theatre; Phoenix Project Dance (11/22-23), Antigone (4/4-5), Broadway’s Next H!t Musical (4/26); and Chorus of Dreams (6/7)!
The Palace Players, Hamilton’s premier community theater will produce the world premiere of Perry Pareé, an original musical comedy written and composed by the team of James McDowell and Dianne Adams.
More shows for the family include a holiday favorite, Twas the Night Before Christmas (12/21) and the traditional, Pinocchio (3/2).
Also showing will be two educational and entertaining shows during the weekday: I Have A Dream (3/13) and The Monster Who Ate My Peas (5/8).
