(Waterville, NY – Sept. 2013) Internal parasites in sheep and goats are forever challenging livestock producers.  A growing concern is how to manage the increasing resistance to parasite treatment options.

Cornell Cooperative Extension of Oneida County is offering a parasite management workshop geared towards managing parasites that affect small ruminants, learning how to identify at risk animals and discussing the latest research findings related to treatment options.

The workshop will be held on Saturday Oct. 12 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 7353 Sanger Hill Road in Waterville.

An opportunity to receive FAMACHA training is available to those who are interested. Space is limited to 20 participants.
