4-H(Oriskany, NY – Sept. 2013) Want to learn more about the 4-H Program in Oneida County?  Please come to our Annual 4-H Enrollment Meeting on Monday, Sept. 30 from 6-8 p.m. at the Oneida County Extension Office in Oriskany.

Oneida County 4-H is a healthy and vibrant youth program designed for children ages 5 to 19 years old.  Youth can have the opportunity to participate in activities and workshops throughout the calendar year as well as be involved in various projects such as photography, plant science, animals (rabbits, swine, dogs and so much more), and robotics just to name a few.  There are more than 60 potential project areas in Oneida County 4-H.  Yet another opportunity for youth involved in 4-H is the various regional, state, and national 4-H events that take place during their 4-H career.  4-H is an excellent supplement to any educational curriculum with plenty of hands-on opportunities.

If you have an interest in learning more about 4-H please join us on Monday, September 30th at the Oneida County Cornell Cooperative Extension Office, 121 Second Street, Oriskany.  An informational session will be held for adults that will focus on getting youth involved and enrolled in the 4-H program as well as getting adults involved as 4-H volunteers.

If you would like more information about the 4-H Enrollment Meeting please contact the 4-H Staff at Cornell Cooperative Extension of Oneida County at (315) 736-3394 or email Kristi Cranwell at kac292@cornell.edu.
