(Herkimer, NY – Sept. 2013) Herkimer County Community College will host a Farmer’s Market during Fall Fest and Alumni Weekend on Saturday, Oct. 5 from noon to 4 p.m. A variety of homemade food will be made by these regional vendors: Annie Evans, Gypsy Girl Wood Fired Pizza; Cats Creations, Cat Macera—artisan baked breads; Shaw’s Maple Products, Carol Shaw—maple syrup and other maple products; Kriemhild Butter & Three Village Cheese, Tina Kulesa—meadow butter and cheeses; Fire Seed Farm, Leigh Vanderbogert & Kira Hosler—fresh produce & farm raised meats.

Annie Evans of Sherrill turns a pizza in a wood-fire over in seconds, and warmly engages her customers. Cat Macera of Cats Creations makes gluten free bread and babka, as well as traditional breads. Shaw’s Maple Products displays her food during the year at the Waterville, Clinton and Westmoreland Farmer’s Markets with items including maple sugar, maple fudge and more. Kriemhild Dairy Farms is a multi-generational farm nestled in New York State, with Meadow Butter that is pasture enhanced and sun infused. Fire Seed Farm, located in Central New York, is a small farm. They raise various animals and sell fresh greens and meat.
