Leadership Mohawk Valley(Marcy, NY – Oct. 2013) Leadership Mohawk Valley (LMV) has chosen four Mohawk Valley nonprofit organizations as recipients of project assistance the LMV Class of 2014.  The 38 members of the LMV class will form project teams to collaborate with these nonprofit organizations, all seeking assistance with particular needs and issues.

The organizations receiving project support from LMV are: MAMI (Multicultural Association of Medical/Legal Interpreters, MVEDD (Mohawk Valley Economic Development District), Players of Utica and Capitol Civic Center (Rome Capitol Theatre). All four projects this year focus on marketing/branding the four organizations chosen.

Leadership Mohawk Valley was created in 1990 to develop and utilize the leadership talent of professionals from the community. This 10-month leadership program provides individuals with opportunities for personal leadership development, presentational skills-building, and a better understanding of group dynamics, team leadership, and the value of networking.  In addition to leadership development and project teams, participants explore topics such as healthcare, human services, government, economic development, quality of life, etc.
