(Herkimer, NY- Oct. 2013) Herkimer County Community College is holding a Breast Cancer Awareness Walk Saturday, October 5 during the Fall Fest & Alumni Weekend. Registration will be held from 2:30 to 3pm. in the College Center room 288. College President Ann Marie Murray will give a brief welcome before the walk begins at 3pm.
A one-mile walk will take place outdoors, and an optional indoor walk will be held on the indoor track in the Physical Education Building. The event is open to the community. Light refreshments will be served.
The HCCC men’s basketball team and cross country team will assist. All funds raised from the October 5 walk will go directly to the local American Cancer Society.
