(Town of Nelson, NY – Oct. 2013) The Nelson Odeon brings you the world when they welcome Alash, a band made up of throat singers and multi-instrumentalists from Tuva (a tiny country north of Mongolia).
Alash will perform Friday Nov. 1 at 8 p.m. (Doors open at 7:30).
Their singing is ancient, harkening back to a time when human beings were still inventing languages. When they start singing, listeners fall silent, wondering how four human voices can seem to split into an infinite number. This is a very unique opportunity to hear beauty from the other side of the planet.
