(Little Falls, NY – Oct. 2013) The 2013 Mohawk Valley Garlic and Herb Festival was a ‘stinking good success!’ The 12th annual event saw 72 vendors and a record 2,900 festival attendees. Through their efforts, the MVGHF raised a record $2,025 for the Mohawk Valley Center for the Arts.
The Sept. 14 festival, held at Canal Place in Little Falls generated plenty of interesting and informative fun for all who attended. Garlic, herbs, other agricultural products, and crafts we’re plentiful. Horse drawn carriage rides along the canal and continuous live music also added to the fun-filled day. Vendors and festival goers alike were pleased with the annual event that has successfully grown each year due to additional family-friendly activities.
The generous donation by the Garlic and Herb Festival to the MVCA will be used to further promote the art center’s vision of enhancing the quality of life by creating opportunities for learning, personal creativity, and artistic expression.
Next year’s Mohawk Valley Garlic and Herb Festival will be on Sept. 13, 2014.
