state-police-seal-150x150(Marcy, NY – Oct. 29, 2013) On Oct. 28 Trooper Chad Chevier, SP Marcy, concluded a six month investigation into fraudulent pseudoephedrine purchases at area pharmacies made by a 28 year old woman.

Pseudoephedrine is a precursor commonly used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine. The purchases were made at Walgreens Pharmacy in the City of Utica and the Town of New Hartford.

Christin Hungerford, 28, of 309 Armstrong Road, West Winfield was charged with 14 counts of second-degree Forgery, 14 counts of first-degree Falsifying Business Records, 14 counts of second-degree Criminal Impersonation and 1 count of fifth-degree Criminal Possession of Stolen Property.

She was arraigned in the City of Utica Court and was remanded to the Oneida County Jail on $10,000 bail. The investigation is continuing and additional arrests are pending.
