(Oneida County, NY – Nov. 5, 2013) On Nov. 4 at approximately 5:35 p.m. Elijah J. Dibble was pronounced deceased at the SUNY Upstate Medical Pediatric ICU from massive head and chest trauma.

(Marcy, NY – Nov. 4, 2013) State Police in Marcy are investigating a serious Car/Pedestrian accident that occurred at approximately 12:49 p.m. Nov. 4 on State Route 20 in the Town of Bridgewater.
The investigation revealed a bicycle being operated by 11 year-old Elijah J. Dibble was exiting the driveway of his residence located at 10265 St-20 when he was struck by a westbound vehicle operated by Eric J. Hale, 27, from West Winfield.
Dibble sustained serious head injuries and was transported by West Winfield Ambulance initially to St Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Utica, but was subsequently transferred to SUNY Upstate Medical Center via helicopter and remains in critical condition.
State Police Troop D Collision Reconstruction Unit responded to the scene and is reconstructing the collision.
