Utica, NY: Players of Utica continues the 2013-14 Season on Nov. 15 with the thriller, “Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.”
Robert Louis Stevenson’s “Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde” gets a makeover in Jeffrey Hatcher’s exciting and theatrical adaptation for the stage. Relying on skilled actors, sound, and light, the familiar story flies by in a flurry of short and powerful scenes which blend the expected with the unexpected.
Only six players will play the many characters, but the most intriguing aspect of this clever version is that “Hyde” is played by not one, but by four different actors. If you thought you knew Stevenson’s story, join us for a thrilling night of theater where good and evil trade off in startling ways.
The production features an array of local talent playing the various roles: Joe Caruso, Steve Maggio, Steven Wagner, Jim Revenaugh, Debra Harrison, and Barbara Pratt.
