(Trenton, NY – Dec. 27, 2013) State Police in Remsen arrested 38 year old Correy S. Roberts of Barneveld for driving while intoxicated after he failed to keep right.
Roberts was traveling on Route 365 eastbound in a 2013 Chevrolet S10 with his high beams activated when he crossed into the westbound lane causing a trooper who was traveling westbound to swerve towards the shoulder of the roadway to avoid a collision. The trooper initiated a Vehicle and Traffic stop.
An odor of alcohol was detected and Roberts was given Standardized Field Sobriety test which he failed. An open can of alcohol was found in the vehicle.
Roberts was arrested where he refused any further tests. He was issued UTT’s for DWI, Failed to dim headlights, Refusal of a breath screening test, Consumption of alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle, and Failed to keep right.
Roberts was arraigned in the Town of Trenton court and committed to Oneida County Jail in lieu of $500 bail.
