(Clinton, NY – Jan. 2014) LutheranCare recently held a grand opening of its Memory Café, a welcome place for people with memory loss and their care partners to enjoy each other’s company.
The concept began in the Netherlands in 1997 and grew rapidly to include cafés throughout the nation. LutheranCare’s Memory Café is the first for the Mohawk Valley area.
The Memory Café provides individuals living with dementia and their caregivers the opportunity to socialize in a safe and nurturing environment – no judgments, no expectations only support and entertainment.
