(Vernon, NY – May 2015) The Town of Vernon Republican Committee recently met to select new members that will serve on the committee. These new members include Myron Thurston III, representing the City of Sherrill, Paulette Shiebel, representing the Town of Vernon, and Sheila Sreca, representing the Town of Vernon. The Republican Committee in Vernon is part of the group that represents Republicans throughout Oneida County. The purpose of the Committee is to help promote Republican politicians throughout the area and to endorse candidates for positions within town and county government.
At their most recent meeting on April 27, the Committee selected their slate of candidates for endorsement in this election cycle.

The Town of Vernon Republican Committee consists of several citizens of the area and current elected officials. The head of the Committee currently is Myron Thurston II, who is also the Town of Vernon Supervisor and has been involved in Town politics for significantly more than two decades. When asked about this slate of officers he said, “This group represents some of the most dedicated and committed members of our community and I certainly hope that you will keep their names in mind when you head to the voting booths this fall.”
