(Syracuse, NY – Aug. 2015) VNA Homecare is pleased to announce the appointment of Dawn Richey as Corporate Compliance Officer.
Richey brings more than 15 years of progressive compliance preparedness to VNA Homecare. She previously served as the Manager of Emergency Preparedness at Crouse Hospital. While there, she was responsible for compliance activities including adherence to JCAHO and DNV standards for emergency management and worked in conjunction with other hospitals and preparedness partners to ensure compliance with the National Preparedness Goals. She also served as a Quality Improvement Analyst at Crouse, where she ensured compliance with OSHA, environment of care/life safety and emergency management standards.
As VNA Homecare’s Corporate Compliance Officer, Richey will oversee the Corporate Compliance Program and its subsidiaries, develop and present educational programs to promote a culture of ethics and compliance from all employees, provide a channel of communication to receive and direct compliance issues for investigation and resolution, and confer with necessary legal consultants to resolve difficult compliance issues.
Richey earned her Bachelor of Science, Biochemistry and Forensic Science from SUNY Oswego. She is also Certified Professional Compliance Officer Prepared and certified to teach countless safety related courses.
