Free Training Rides
(Syracuse, NY – May 2014) Celebrate May as National Bike Month by riding for a great cause and take part in free weekly training rides.
The Tour de Cure cycling event coming June 8 to Verona Beach benefits the American Diabetes Association and its mission to curb the disease that affects some 26 million Americans.
Just as the event itself offers options for every experience level, the Saturday rides presented by Syracuse Bicycle cover training plans for every distance.
Beginner rides of 10 miles are designed to introduce new riders to state bicycling law, group riding skills and safe operation of a bicycle.
Founded by the League of American Bicyclists in 1956, National Bike Month showcases the many benefits of bicycling and encourages more people to give biking a try.
Sign up to ride in the Central New York Tour de Cure at www.diabetes.org/cnytour and spend National Bike Month getting ready. All rides will leave from Onondaga Lake Park at 7 a.m. from the Salt Museum parking lot, 106 Lake Drive, Liverpool.
