(Utica, NY – Jan. 2013) SUNYIT will host a National Marrow Donor Program Be The Match Registry event on Thursday, Jan. 31, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m., in the Campus Center. The event is presented in partnership with the NYS Office for People with Developmental Disabilities Employee Assistance Program.

Be The Match Foundation raises funds to help patients who need a bone marrow or umbilical cord blood transplant find a donor and receive treatment. The National Marrow Donor Program, a nonprofit organization, provides bone marrow and umbilical cord blood transplants to patients in need. It operates the Be The Match Registry, the world’s largest listing of potential marrow donors and donated cord blood units, and raises funds to help provide transplants to all patients through the Be The Match Foundation.
