(Marcy, NY – Feb. 12, 2013)  State Police in Marcy are investigating a crash that occurred shortly after 7:30 a.m. Feb. 12 on State Route 365 in the Town of Floyd.

The preliminary investigation revealed a 2005 Ford Taurus, driven by 17 year-old Joseph N. Yagey from Rome was eastbound on State Route 365 when he lost control of the car, began to slide sideways into the path of a 2001 International Box Truck, which was westbound on State Route 365.  The driver of the truck, 65-year-old Bruce R. Crammond from Ticonderoga was not injured in crash.

Joseph Yagey was transported to Rome Memorial Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

A passenger in the Ford Taurus, Anusha N. Yagey, 16, was transported to Rome Memorial hospital and transferred to University Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse where he was listed in critical condition.

The investigation is continuing at this hour.
