(Aug. 2013) Over the next four months, the Oneida-Herkimer Solid Waste Authority will be releasing daily videos to address frequently asked questions about recycling and solid waste from Oneida and Herkimer County residents and businesses.
The videos will provide short, concise answers to recycling and solid waste questions. They are an educational tool that will help residents learn more about their local recycling program, RecycleOne, and the guidelines for recycling and waste disposal.
“It is our goal to continue to increase awareness of recycling in Oneida and Herkimer Counties in addition to promoting special programs the Authority offers to residents,” stated Authority Recycling Coordinator Jamie Tuttle. “As people gain an understanding of how easy it is to recycle in Oneida and Herkimer Counties, participation increases. In turn, this benefits our entire region by conserving landfill space and valuable natural resources and energy.”
The videos will be displayed on the Authority’s website (www.ohswa.org) and Facebook page (Ohswa – RecycleOne). The Authority invites residents and businesses to visit the website or ‘like’ the Facebook page to ask questions they would like addressed in the videos.
