(Utica, NY – Sept. 6, 2013) An investigation by the New York State Police Special Investigations Unit in Utica resulted in yesterday’s arrest of an area man for a burglary that occurred in the Village of Oriskany last month.

WamelingJevon T. Wameling, age 27, of 748 Jay St., Utica was arrested and charged with one count of second-degree Burglary, a class “C” felony for allegedly entering a residence unlawfully and stealing money and jewelry from within on at least one occasion.

He was processed at the Marcy State Police Station, arraigned before the Town of Floyd Court, and remanded to the Oneida County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash or $25,000 bail bond.

This investigation is ongoing, and additional charges may be filed.
