(Marcy, NY – Oct. 23, 2013) Major Rodney W. Campbell of the New York State Police and Chief Deputy Dean Obernesser of the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center, announce the arrest of 28 year old Kimberly M. Moore, from Boonville for third-degree Falsely Reporting in violation of Penal Law Section 240.50.
It is alleged that Moore called the New York State Child Abuse Hotline on Oct. 17 and reported an instance of child abuse that she knew was not true. Moore was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Village of Boonville Court on Nov. 13.
Falsely Reporting 3rd is a class A Misdemeanor.
The investigation was conducted by State Police Investigator Todd Grant who is currently assigned to the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center. The Oneida County Child Advocacy Center is a multi-agency, multi-disciplinary team that fights child abuse by providing a wide range of services for child victims, while also aggressively pursuing the offenders of these crimes.
