(New Woodstock, NY – Sept. 2015) If you want to meet a real princess, go to the New Woodstock Free Library Saturday Oct. 10 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. to meet the Madison County Dairy Princess Katelyn Bloss.

That same day, at 11:30 a.m. Assemblyman Bill Magee, Chair of Assembly Agriculture Committee and recipient of the2015 Distinguished Service Citation from the state Agricultural Society, will visit the library’s “Agri-Culture” exhibit which runs from Sept. 28 to Oct. 30.

The New Woodstock Free Library will celebrate its “agri-cultural” heritage through photos, artifacts, displays, literature and information.

Making it one of the busiest days this year, the library will also be a stop on the Cazenovia Art Trail, with photographer Jerry Weimar on hand from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. to discuss his photographic essay on farms, which will be on display in the program room.  Weimar will also be at the library the previous Saturday, Oct. 3, the first day of the Art Trail event, which runs two consecutive Saturdays.

The Little Readers program will be held from 11 a.m. to noon Oct. 10 and 24, and every second and fourth Saturday of each month thereafter.

The library’s very popular Family Movie Night will be held Oct. 16 at 7 p.m. and the 3rd Friday of every month.

The Book Group meets Oct. 20 at 7 p.m. and the 3rd Tuesday of every month.

The new LEGO Club will be held Oct. 5 and 19 at 3 p.m. and the 1st & 3rd Mondays of every month.

The library is open Monday-Friday 1-5 pm, Monday and Wednesday evenings from 7-9 pm, and Saturdays from 10-1 p.m.   The library is also open whenever the blue library flag is displayed.
