(Utica, NY – Sept. 2015) Adirondack Bank is thrilled to announce a partnership with their new global spokesperson: Olympic Medalist and World Champion Erin Hamlin. Erin will be representing the Bank at events throughout the region and the Bank will be following and supporting Erin as she pursues upcoming endeavors over the next three years, notably the World Cups held in Lake Placid, the World Championships, and the 2018 Winter Olympic Games. Erin and Adirondack Bank are looking forward to building and expanding new community initiatives and programs in the near future.
“Erin’s local roots and world-class accomplishments make her the perfect match for Adirondack Bank. She is an outstanding representative of our core values and the things that are most important to our customers,” said Rob Clark, Adirondack Bank’s Executive Vice President. “We’re so happy to be partnering with such an exceptional woman.”
Erin grew up just outside of Utica, in Remsen, NY. Remarkably, at only twenty-eight years old, she has competed in three Olympic Games and won the bronze medal at the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics, making her the first American, male or female, to ever win an Olympic medal in singles luge. She was also the first ever female to win any Olympic luge medal for Team USA.
The partnership between Erin and the Bank was officially celebrated at a press conference at Union Station in Utica, NY at 2 p.m. on September 25, 2015. Beginning with this event, Erin will be the face and voice of Adirondack Bank, attending local events and championing their shared love for the region and local community, and their belief in every individual’s potential to reach their dreams. Bank customers are excited to see more of this hometown heroine and follow her journey over the next few years.
Erin shares the enthusiasm of Bank officials and their customers and is looking forward to working together. “The Adirondacks and Central New York region are a big part of who I am. Competing in three Olympic Games has been an amazing experience but I never could have done it without the unwavering support of my community. I love this community and will never forget where I came from,” said Erin. “Adirondack Bank has established roots in the same place as mine and the relationship is such a great fit because the ideals and core values of the bank are so similar to mine. I am very excited about the opportunity to work with a partner that is as passionate about giving back to the same community as I am. I am grateful for Adirondack Bank’s support and I hope I can be a positive influence in helping people achieve their goals and promoting a sense of local pride.”
“Erin is an inspiration and living proof that you can accomplish anything if you work hard, stay true to yourself, and never stop reaching for the stars,” said Clark. “Not only are we dedicated to supporting Erin as she pursues her dreams, but we are also dedicated to helping our customers attain their financial goals for a more secure future.”
Adirondack Bank is launching a new ADK News website (ADK.news) to feature Erin’s accomplishments with links to her Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube accounts for real time updates. The site will also showcase detailed news stories of the many community events that Adirondack Bank participates in, sponsors, and supports throughout the year.
This partnership will kickoff campaigns through digital and traditional components. Digital campaigns will feature Social Media, Google, and YouTube. Traditional campaigns will include television, radio, billboard, and newspaper. All work is being handled by TRAINOR in New Hartford.
